It is easy to build your own lean-to greenhouse.. A lean-to greenhouse is a type of attached greenhouse and it is one of the easiest greenhouse to build.

It is best for those whose space are very limited. However, before you build your own lean-to greenhouse, you must know there are several advantages and disadvantages of this type of greenhouse structure.

An important thing to keep in mind with this kind of structure is its location. It is very important that its area should give it maximum exposure to sunlight since the house can cover the sun at times. Ideally, the south/southeast side of the house is the best area. Just make sure there are no deciduous trees surrounding that area.

Another important thing to keep in mind when you build your own lean-to greenhouse is the ventilation, heating and irrigation of the greenhouse.

Irrigation may not pose much of a problem since a simple water can can do the job. On the other hand, in planning the design of the greenhouse, ventilation should be considered. For most cases, it could be as simple as opening windows but sometimes, air vents should go into the design if you build your own lean-to greenhouse.

That’s why it’s imperative that you go over many greenhouse plans and designs and from there, you choose which design you can easily implement and best suited to your needs as a grower.
